AGENCY WORK

Whilst employed at a digital production agency I ended up working on a lot of extremely varied projects. One moment I would be doing storyboards for an advertisement, and the next creating mockups of stickers to be used in an app. I’ve collected an example of various disciplines that I worked in during this time.


COLOURING BOOK & APP (SINGAPORE AIRLINES)

In 2019, Shadow Factory took to the skies, continuing a successful relationship with the Singaporean flagship Airline, to create a hands-on, kid friendly experience that was both digital and personal. Through the development of a physical coloring book that was AR enhanced, it allowed children to embrace cutting-edge technology through a familiar gateway. By following along and colouring-in the friendly mascots, children unlock AR activations within a native app, custom to the Singapore Airlines experience. Once unlocked, users delve into mini games, informative videos and redeem discounts for brand partners. In this project I created the pitch deck, the colouring book, various in-game textures and UI, as well as concept art for the games.


TARGET TRACKING AR FILTER (BREITLING)

Breitling launched their flagship store in Hong Kong's Lan Kwai Fong district. The shop looked to combine the detail of craftsmanship and the immersion of augmented reality in an accessible all in one venue. Using the mural of the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk as a target tracker, I created an AR filter with Spark AR that used multiple capabilities. Keyframe and Loop animations were used to manipulate the multiple fighter jets, with animating texture sequences for their propellers. The clouds also shift across to create more movement. The effect was featured in the June 2021 episode of Dolce Vita on TVB Pearl


AR PITCH DECK (MARC JACOBS)

I was tasked to create a bespoke pitch deck to propose AR solutions to a very fashion-forward brand. The imagery needed to reference a particular seasonal launch as well as try to depict the various AR concepts in an simple easy-to-understand manner.


WHATSAPP & INSTAGRAM STICKERS (NIKE)

Nike sought to show it's support for international women's day by creating 10 animated stickers for WhatsApp and Instagram

The theme of the Nike Women's Campaign is all about the "need to push people further" with a focus on 港女 "gong loi" (a phrase that often can be used in a dismissive manner, but they want to re-contextualise and shape the meaning for themselves).


COMMERCIAL STORYBOARD (RITZ-CARLTON)

Ritz-Carlton needed a video to promote their Stellar Dining Series, giving it an updated look using their constellations theme. The storyboard was created with the aim to show sections in black as being filmed normally, and the blue being the graphics added in post.

CGI VIDEO (CHRISTIE’S)

Built in Unreal, this fly-through of Chinese artist Zhang Daqian's mid century piece "Viewing the Waterfall." mimics the art style. In this project I provided all the textures for the 2D and 3D elements. I used a high-res scan of the painting and broke it down into different washes of paint to use as layered planes in the scene. The rocks, people, and buildings were extracted from the painting and optimised for use.
